There are some who have as much antipathy for the Dodgers (the $$$ factor) as they do for the "Boulevardiers." And seeing that Boone has been retained, these three words keep rotating in my mind:

. . . LATHER . . . RINSE . . . REPEAT . . .

However, it's the final year in his contract, and no-one knows whether it'll be extended or not.

Meanwhile, in hockey . . . I see the "Rayn-jers" are second in the Metropolitan Division, with a more winning record than the "Eye-landers" and Devils.

As for the "Ka-nicker-bockers" - in terms of their play, hard to believe this was the same team that won the "En-Bee-Yay" "cham-peen-ship" several months ago. In short, they stunk. If Mr. Fischler were a basketball fan, he'd probably have been chugging ten Maalox' at once over their performance in last night's game against the "Sixers." Let's hope this isn't an omen . . .

W.B.:

Despite all the hype and hoopla at "da Garden" last night, it turned out bto be a "dpwn" event for the "Kan-ikker-bockers". Sad

As gar as hockey, I am sure that Mr. Fischler is happy to be going easy on theol' Maalox......... Wink

From what Your's Truly has been hearing, as of late....................

MORE than a few die-hd "AYF" are NOT at all pleased that Mr. Boone will be back for the 2027 seaso n.......add to that, they are still remembering that the "Boulevardiers" have NOT won the World Series in nearly 20 years. Shocked

Maybe it's time for "The Cap'n" to come out of retirement? Rolling Eyes

Also . . .

Tonight, the "Woild" Series begins; both teams, whoever wins, will have snared their "foist": the "Broo-ers" and the "Rayz."

The "Ka-nicker-bockers" play again tomorrow, but they weren't the only one to lose their "foist" game; so did "doze Netz from Brooklyn."

And the "Rayn-jers" play tonight against the Maple Leafs in Toronto. They have a record that, so far, would make Mr. Fischler lay off the Maalox, if only for a bit.

W.B.:

Given the fact that the price of EVERYTHING is through the roof nowadays, if Mr. Fischler can lay off the Maalox for awhile, he can indeed save himself a LOT of hard-earned $$$$$$$$!

"NYO"

UPDATE (Thursday):

Looks like I spoke too soon; BOTH the "Rayn-jers" and the "Eye-landers" LOST tonight....guess Mr. Fischler is reaching for the ol' Maalox, tonight....(!!) Rolling Eyes

"Noo Yawk" sports "nooze" (F riday)............

Well, looks like the "Kan-ikkrt-bokers"have hit the "realty wall", and lost another game........and the 2026 NBA season has barely begun......... Sad

Maybe they should bring in those animated Globetrotters" to lend moral support.....Wink

BTW:

T(he "Broo-ers" won Game One of the "Woild" Series)

Sounds like the animated "Globetrotters" have been kept out of "da Garden" by Dolan's security . . .

W.B.:

I tend to agree with you, here.

Indeed, a far, far cry from all of the hoopla and celevrations of a few months bck, when the ""Noo Yawk Nix" were indeed the "Heroes Of The Hardwood".....
