Great photo! Guessing it's near the end of an era of the equipment shown. If I were there, I would have been old enough to see, ride, and appreciate a scene that wouldn't last much longer.

The old BRIL-builtL MKT-Frankford cars were then over 50 years old; they began to be phased out with the arrival of the BUDD "Almond Joy" cars in 1960.

Some were retained for rush hour servuce before eing scrapped (sadly, none survie)

The P&W cars, on the other hand, last through the 1980s, still getting the job done.

Note how the El cars resemble the IRT's prewar rolling stock.........

This photo from 1968 has two "Almond Joy" trains at 69th S treet; note how closely the basic car design follows the "standard" SMEE car design from New York........

Now relegated to MOW service, we see one of the Frankford El's 1920s arch roof cars (BRILL)

These cars were retired during the 1960s, after several years of tripper service; none were preserved...........
