Interesting.......

In Paterson, NJT is restoring/renovating the historic PSNJ Market Street garage/carbarn.

This looming, turreted structure is virtually identical to the former PS carbarn/garage in Union City, recently demolished.

So sad that at least the oldest, turreted section of the building (built 1890s) was not saved.

A new bus station is to be being built on the site, along with a storage yard and recharging station for the new electric buses.

Ironic, I feel, in that ASVs were never stored/serviced at UNION CITY; the dual-powered coaches were based out of the WEST NEW YORK carbarn/garage (a few miles to the north), which still stands, as a local DPW facility, looking much as it did back in the PS days.

The last HUDSON Division ASVs were replaced by motor buses in 1947...........

Interesting info/articles on the Hackensack Bus Transfer (and redevelopment)..........

For a number of years, I used this station when visiting the now-gone second-hand record stores on Main Street, and going out to Bergen Mall, when "NEWBERRY's"was still in business.

I have not been anywhere near the area since Flex New Looks and METRO "Bs" were still in use on the #751 (ex-TNJ "B-1")
