W.B;
Yeah, "hoid" this earlier on 1010 WINS; it's indeed a given that, when the "blue shoits" lose, ol' Stan'll be chuggin' the ol' Maalox again.........

So far, the "nooze":
Tonight, the "Bloo-shoits" and "EYE-landers" lost, and it looks like Jimmy Dolan's security must've done something to the animated "Globetrotters," as so far "doze Ka-nikker-bockers" are coming up short on their own "toif" at "da Garden." |

| A pleasant surprise: "Doze Ka-nikker-bockers" became animated once again, and actually won tonight. |

Alas, last night "doze Ka-nikker-bockers" lost, apparently this time the animated "Globetrotters" were prevented from entering by Dolan's "securitity" (malapropism per Benny Hill; they've had run-ins with certain high-profile celebrities in the past).
Hockey was a mixed bag; "Pea-Ess' " spirit traveled with "doze Devils from Joisey" to the road so they won last night, but the "Eye-landers" came up short. |

So far, both "NYINO" football teams are losing in their respective matches.
It's interesting the Jets' nickname is "Gang Green," as the way they've been playing the last several years you'd think most of them actually suffer from gangrene. A rather unfortunate moniker, no? |

So amazingly, both the "Ka-Nikker-bockers" and "doze Nets" won last night. In the former's case, the animated "Globetrotters" were once again by their side, evidently.
Meanwhile, in hockey "doze Rain-jers" fell to the "Eye-landers," while the Devils remained "coyced" by the lingering effects of "En-Jay-Tee. Indeed, the "Eye-landers" are now in 2d place in the Metropolitan Division, while the "Blueshoits" are 6th and the "Joisey" team is 5th. |

Meanwhile . . . STOP THE PRESSES!!!
The Giants are actually WINNING, in Las Vegas of all places, against the Raiders. Let's hope they don't end up like Charlie Brown vs. Lucy.
Meanwhile, as is all too typical, the "Sputtering Propellers" (a.k.a. Jets "in name only") lost to New England, 42-10.
*EDIT: Hold the phone - the Giants won - and decisively too, no "squeaker" this one. Now if only they were this good the rest of the season . . . |

And the regular season has ended for "Noo Yawk" area football - the GINO's (Giants in Name Only), since they won their last game, are somewhat less pathetic than the JINO's (Jets in Name Only), but it's still pathetic - 4-13 for the former, 3-14 for the latter.
Still a mixed bag on the hockey and basketball fronts, though . . . |

W.B.:
Whatever "Noo Yawk" hockey victories there are these days, rest assured Mr. Fischler is indeed more than delighted to go easy on the Maalox, at least fo ra brief spell!
Now.....dare we contemplate spring training, and what the 2026 season holds for "Doze Arrogant Squeakers From Da Bronx" and "The Amazin' New York Mets"?
It's going to be ANOTHER volatile season, I am sure........

"Latest "Noo Yawk" sports "nooze".......
Last night, the "Kan-ikker-bockers" were CLOBBERED (guess those animated "Globetrotters" couldn't make the game last night)
And, from what I "hoid" about the "Rayn-Jers", Mr. Fischler was again reaching that Maalox bottle.......(!!)

| Tonight, the "Ka-nikker-bockers" had the animated "Globetrotters" cheering them on, as they once again won in "da Garden"; but "doze Nets from Brooklyn" lost. Again, a pendulum / seesaw about as volatile as during the baseball season. |

W.B.:
Seems that, regardless of the sport, the "Noo Yawk" teams have had MORE than their share of encounters with that insidious, ominous "pendulum/seesaw".
I have the feeling that the 2026 baseball season is going to be ANYTHING but dull, for sure.........
