(sure looks like "Uncle Hoiman" and "Katmip" have been staying with friends up in "da Bronx" this week) |
"Noose." With the Mets, that term seems apropos - evidently their collapse was that thorough if they lose to a team with the kind of record "My-Ammy" has. |

| All the papers are now saying about the once-"Amazin's" in their sports headlines, "It's Not Up to You," showing how far they'd fallen (and inverse of that line in the song "(Theme From) New York, New York"). |

And recall, quite awhile back, when the Mets were riding high on the crest of multiple wins, and how the "Noo Yawk" papers and media were al happily gushing over them, praising them mightily to the skies.
Now, we've gone from the TOP o' the heap to the BOTTOM.
To FURTHER rub salt into already-smarting wounds, "doze squeakers" are now getting ready for the post season.
Wherever Yankee fans gather these days, rest assured that the atmosphere of smug, blatant arrogance is SO THICK, it's nearly suffocating........

| Tonight, "AYF's" blatant smugness has been tempered by the fact that while "doze squeakers" won earlier in the day, so did the Mets (wherein, unlike "Baldy-more," "My-Ammy" wasn't even on the scoreboard). |

The "miracle" Mets actually pulled off a much-needed a MIRACLE this evening, and beat the Marlins, 5-0!!!!!!!!!!!! 
ABOUT TIME that the Mets are NOT in the "zip" arena!! 
The "AYFs" are NOT liking this, for sure(!!)
(Your's Truly actually checked the score TWICE.....he actually thought he was SEEING things!)
Oh, BTW, "doxe squeakers" won (again)......nothing new.

An EMBARRASSING loss, the TOTAL opposite of yesterdays victory.
Man, the "AYFs" are indeed going to be fiercly tearing into the smarting flesh of Mets fans with NO RESTRAINT in their overly-inflated heads.
NOW, we just gotta hope that "doze squeakers" get "moidilized" at some point in the post season.........belated justice, it would seem....

Speaking of which, "doze squeakers' " win today was very much a squeaker. They had to "woik" for it, it wasn't handed to 'em on a platter. 3-2 isn't the same as the score by which the Marlins shut out the Mets, 4-0.
Since 2009, "da boyz from da Bronx" have had all sorts of "belated justice," including last year's World Series blowout at the hands of the Dodgers (who really did wipe the floor with both "Noo Yawk" teams). Karma works itself in mysterious ways.
Of course, in the here and now they have to take on "Bah-ston" "foist" in the post-season. |

| In other sports "nooze," the "Jints" won their first game against the Chargers. The Jets play tonight in "My-Ammy" against the Dolphins. As they're "NYINO," this is one of those "B-I-I-I-I-IG DEAL!" situations. |
