(SEE PREVIOUS LINKS)
Here's another fascinating page on the old CHICAGO TUNNEL COMPANY; check out the photos of the COMPLEX interlockings and junctions (and interlacing overhead!) at junctions!

Talk about a SURVIVOR!
Here we have No. 508, the VERY last surviving CTC "lokie"; it and its decrepit train sat abandoned in a forgotten tunnel for decades, before finally being rescued!

And here is another fortunate survivor of the old "CTC", wooden "freight" car No. 856!

Here is an OUTSTANDING site (w/many rare photos and other historical data) on the old "CHICAGO TUNNEL COMPANY"; some rare photos of the "lokies", as well as photos depicting the intricate trackwork, day-to-day operations, etc.
ENJOY!

Another fascinating, non-passenger carrying underground railway carried mail beneath the busy streets of London for many decades; here we have detailed historical info, photos of motive power, rolling stock, etc.
This was yet another fascinating and busy underground electric "railway"; its rich and colorful history is indeed most interesting..........

Here's another page, with rare historical photos, as well of those from more recently.
As you can see, this was once a vital and bustling little underground urban electric railway..........
