That small Zenith Chromacolor ad on the ad rack in front of the rear wheels - a painted version of that (done in portrait mode, with the three-color screen between the Chromacolor logo and the 'Only Zenith has it.' line) was on display for years after that version of that campaign ended, right up to the end of the '70's and possibly into 1980, on the NE corner of 49th and Broadway, next to the Rivoli Theatre. That's another brand that's gone with the wind.
Speaking of bus signs . . . for years the (M)6 had its northern terminus as 59th Street and "Av of Amer" (I see it's not in that massive photo gallery, but they would have been on 1972-75 roll signs with the upper and lower case Standard Medium). |

W.B.:
Appreciate the additional info,
On the side roller curtain boxes ("Arnines") you also have for the "Gee-Gee":
"B'KLYN"
In London, "STN" was always the abbreviation for "STATION".........
"NYO"

Scroll down page (on the right) and check out the "D700A" from 1967; indeed a bulked-up "Dangerfield".........

W.B.:
I noticed that as well.
Interestingly, in 1965, British Columbia Hydro was the bus operator in Vancouver.
They needed buses to serve the new Simon Fraser University campus.
This was a difficult route with a 16% grade.
PREVOST supplied the new buses (45 passenger/40 foot)
Though the front end was clearly "PREVOST" the basic overall bus design was indeed inspired by both the Fishbowl and the "Dangerfield", but with a "boxier" appearance............
"NYO"
