The S72 used to operate from St. George Ferry Terminal to South Beach via the part of the S51 line(at the time it was called the S2) on Richmond Road. It only ran weekdays only and was assigned out of Castleton depot. |

The S72 appears on the December 1991 S.I. Bus Map, it is gone by the January 1993 map. The S72 ran along Richmond Road, then left along Midland Avenue, turning right on Father Capodanno Blvd, using the large cul-de-sac there to turn back. Returning via Midland, left on Hylan, right on Lincoln, right on Richmond Rd, to St. George.
Prior to 04/15/1990 the S72 was the old S109, and the S51 was the old S2. |
