Both NYC Omnibus and Fifth Avenue Coach each had a White 788 demonstrator. Both were eventually bought. The Fifth Avenue White did run on either Rt.6 or Rt20.
The White 1150's were the last buses purchased by Fifth Avenue Coach COMPANY, in 1953. Although they were bought to replace the last Queen Marys on the short-turn Rt.5 Riverside Dr. (not on Fith Avenue), they always were assigned to Jackson Heights for Rt.15. They were sold to Memphis in 1960 and replaced by GM fishbowls.
