Here's two photos of a particularly smart-lookin' "GREEN LINES" coach; note that, in the second photo, the same bus (or one of its running mates) was later sold to the Washington St. Lines in Hoboken (NJ), an operation long noted for operating a true museum collection of second and third-hand antiques.
I clearly remember riding on this bus, when it was still operating in Hoboken!!
Where have all the years gone.......??

Thanks for posting these gems. If you look to the left on the first one, you see the partial sign of a Merit Farms store. My mom had a first cousin who worked for that chain, but not that store, for many years. They primarily made roasted chickens for take out. |

Man, I know I'm REALLY getting on up in years, knowing that I grew up with classic GM's like these!!
How much we all took for granted, way back then......

Hey, Alan:
Well, as I turn 54 on Wednesday.....and can clearly recall b/w prime-time TV......and can just as easily remember 15 cent bus and subway fares......I guess it's EASY to feel like an ol' coot!!
I guess you're as young as you feel......then....if THAT'S the case, I must be at least 98......
John

This "LIBERTY COACH" Old Look is particularly smart-looking!
Some classic equipment in the background, as well.....

"GO GREEN"
The chrome dash strips that adorned many Old Looks years ago really added a classy touch.......

John -
Extra credit awarded to those who can correctly pronounce names of the three persons running for office? <G>
On another board, City of Baltimore amidst a little project which involved its purchased of ever so neat, cutting edge,
enviro-zany friendly coaches. The units quickly proved a disappointment. Some of us knew all along that G M C should
have kept all the tooling and dies for its earlier TDH-45-- work. Put a new style Diesel in them, and there you go!
"Sunny Jamaica"? Gimme a break. So many comedians out of work! "What are you? Some kind of wise guy? (Abbott & Costello)...
