At the CUTA convention in Quebec City this week, NovaBUS launched the new Nova LFS Artic. It measures 62 feet long and comes with the Cummins ISL 330 engine and ZF transmission. Voith and Allison are available as options.
The Société de transport de Montréal and the Réseau de transport de la Capitale have passed an order for 200 and 62 buses respectively.
The RTC is building a new garage for these buses which will run on the 800, 801 and 802 Métrobus routes (the 802 will replace route 12). The STM is eexpanding its Legendre garage for their new buses. Also, the STM is receiving 8 new LFS HEVs for the end of the year and the RTC is testing an electric microbus built by the italian firm Technobus for use in Old Quebec.
Here is an interview, in French, with NovaBUS president Gilles Dion on Canal Argent.
