Former DE CAMP routes.........
How many of these routes were taken over by NJT, when DE CAMP abandoned commuter service, a few years back?
How many were simply discontinued?
Back in the day, I well recall the long, long defunct "22"(JSQ-Caldwell); I also remember the "33" (to New York), the "77" (NY-Livingston); back in the 80s, I can remember seeing (1990s) Metro "Bs" working on the #32 (this line passed through Union City)
Appreciate info, as always............

Did NJT take over DE CAMP's fleet, or were the coaches sold off ?

Route #32.............
This was a "local" line; it was unusual in that it used local streets in Union City to reach the Lincoln Tunnel.
I remember the buses running along 32nd Street, bypassing the "S-3" tunnel cuts through Union City.
I last remember Metro "Bs" on this line; I'm going back a number of years, here...........

STILL hard to believe that the fabled, historic name of DE CAMP is no longer a part of New Jersey bus operations.
Amazing that it had remained independent right to the end, escaping a takeover by NJT.
I'll always have fond memories of this historic New Jersey bus company and its fleet of handsome Old Looks, ACF-BRILLs, and Fishbowls.........

Footnote:
DE CAMP's long-defunct #22 (Jersey City-Caldwell) was long regarded by DE CAMP as a "stepchild".
Small wonder, then, it was still possible to ride on the company's oldest buses, through the 1960s, on this route.
Mom and I used this line often, back then, when going out to visit relatives who then resided in West Orange.
How well I recall those big Old Looks and tough-looking ACF-BRILLS, in my much, much uounger days.........
