I thought that, despite what maintenance problems they might cause, the NABI 60 BRT fender skirts (pictured top frame) were a new and novel idea for a bus until I found out that while they were novel, they were not new!
Shown (lower frame) in a factory pose is fleet number B133 - a 1937 Mack Model 6CT-3S built for Zrenner Casper Bus Company of Guttenberg, New Jersey and doing business as Hudson County Boulevard.
Of note, of course, is the very prominent fender skirt covering the rear wheels - something that even this writer had never seen before on a Mack or any other bus aside from a NABI.
Hudson County Boulevard operated in Northern New Jersey and was comprised of independent owner operators all belonging to New Jersey's Independent Bus Owners Association (IBOA).
