Of course, there's another connection between Flxible and GM and that would be the anti trust suit brought against the latter by the former contending that the former refused to sell it parts.
In a surprise decision, the courts found for Flxible forcing GM to sell them Detroit Diesel engines and other accessories for their 'New Look' line.
In a way, this helped Flxible in the market place because operators felt comfortable knowing that so much of a Flxible was GM!
BTW; any relationship between GM and Flxible prior to the 1960's had nothing to do with the litigation.

This is my 1966 TDH-3501, Coach #616.
[/b]
She's a camper conversion (done some time around 1975, not by me). Diesel Toro-Flow engine, with all kinds of ugly tacked on.
We're working on converting the interior (a second time) to become a mobile computer repair center for business offices and whatnot.
The missing trim is currently sitting inside, waiting to be reattached. We're looking into a new paint job (red has faded into pink). Quite a project.
30 feet long, all pneumatics, and most notably only one door (not counting the emergency exit). Pardon the plywood - we'll have something nicer in the future. |
