The attachment appeared as a feature article in the July 1970 Motor Coach Age.
The second photo is of the same bus in 1954 after it was converted to stock and sold to Martin Lines of Royal Oak, Michigan.

I have a souvenir keychain from my ride in May 1969 on 'The World's First Long-Distance Turbine Bus. It was Continental Trailways 2:00 PM departure from New York to Los Angeles from gate 21, on American Buslines Silver Eagle 29511 driven by Don Martin as far as Pittsburgh, accompanied by various Company officials and press. Also along were officials and technicians from Ford Motor Company, the builder of the engine. I rode it as far as Effingham, Il. |
