And it doesn't look like they fade away either!
Seen here on Hollywood Boulevard amidst the 'Footprints of the Stars' in the vicinity of Grauman's Chinese Theater is an ex LACMTA GM designed RTS flagged for 'Star Line' City Sightseeing readying to take on another load of 'Geese' (as the tourist trade is referred to by the industry) to see the homes and even the burial sites of the stars.
Very intelligent of Star Line to go with used RTS equipment which will undoubtedly outlast most of the 'junk' they now have on the road!

Great post, Mr. Linsky!
That appears to be one of MTA's 1982 35-foot RTS-04s (4400s). Some of those were in service for 25 years! (I'm guessing the one pictured is one of the 2007 retirees). |
